SleepCurve Baby Mattress Reviews

At the age of 3 months my little boy had severe plagiocephaly. (A flattening to one side of his head) This is due to him always lying on the same side of his head. I wasn’t aware at the time the damage this could do to him. It is never discussed until it happens.

I independently looked into treatments. I didn’t want to put him through wearing a helmet for 23 hours a day. I felt like there was no solution. Then someone recommended a cranial osteopath that specialised in plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome). Philip Owen in Gatley changed our lives. He recommended the SleepCurve mattress. The most amazing invention that I can’t recommend enough for all babies. It prevents and helps to correct flat head syndrome.

I have a little boy who has had reflux since he was just a week old. It has really affected his sleep and this, in turn, has really affected our sleep.

My son was three months old when I first put him down on the SleepCurve moses basket mattress. He slept for 45 minutes straight away and did not wake coughing as he had done every time previously on a ‘flat’ mattress. This in itself felt like a miracle but it was just the beginning and after a few days on the mattress he was sleeping for up to an hour at a time.

I have resolved to buy the next mattress up as soon as he is sleeping in his cot as the difference a decent nap (and night) makes is unbelievable, not just for the baby but for the whole family.

100% recommend the SleepCurve mattress for babies.

It completely altered how my little girl slept – sleeping for longer periods of time as she was is such a comfortable position. Also gave me piece of mind, knowing that I was helping to prevent flat head syndrome.

My little girl also visited Philip in the early days for treatment to help her settle and control her reflux; she became a far more comfortable and chilled out baby – really did make the first few weeks much less stressful for me and baby 👶🏻

This is without a doubt one of the best purchases for our son. He had a terribly flat head and this mattress helped so much, it also helped with his torticollis. If we had  known about it from day one, we would have bought it.

Forget about the feet to the bottom of the bed business stick your little one in a sleeping bag and on this and you will be fine. My first though was omg what if he is sick??? Will he choke as his head is so tipped back. The answer is no – this mattress allows them to roll their heads left and right so they just sick up to the left or right with ease.

If you are worried about flat head syndrome then don’t hesitate to buy this mattress it is money well spent. I also bought the cot bed one so that went in his big boy bed for his day time naps (we live in a bungalow so use his cot and crib).

My baby was starting to get a noticeable flat spot, so after research I bought this for a crib and moved him out the moses basket. It has defiantly started improving, it’s been around a month. He has also dealt with a cold much better this time around, he seems able to breathe much better while bunged up. He also sleeps around 6 hours a time a night.

Can’t recommend this product enough. My daughter doesn’t snuffle in her sleep as her airway is fully open therefore allowing us to get a better night’s sleep too. She had a dreadful cold at 4 weeks and couldn’t manage to sleep in her moses basket which has a normal flat mattress but at night she slept soundly in her crib with the SleepCurve mattress. She has never got on particularly well with the moses basket and standard mattress, but instantly slept in her crib from day one with the SleepCurve mattress.

Without wanting to tempt fate she has slept through the night from 6 weeks and she is now 3 months and without sounding over the top she has a beautiful round head! All of these things might have happened anyway, but I am pretty sure the mattress has a lot to do with it.

I used this company for my eldest child and now again for my little girl. It’s a brilliant product and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I ordered this around Christmas time and got the best customer service. Due to it being a bank holiday the lady rang and arranged a next day delivery at no extra cost so the mattress wouldn’t be stuck in a warehouse somewhere for ages. Great products and great customer service so no complaints!

I brought this mattress as my 10 week old had developed a flat spot on the back of her head. In just 3 weeks I could see a massive improvement. The only downside is the moses basket mattress is very long. I admit I didn’t measure it, bit have a standard size moses back and had to cut the end of the mattress to get it to fit. Albeit I’m very pleased I brought it 🙂

I bought the Moses mattress as my baby had a favoured side to sleep on….no matter how hard me and my partner tried turning her head she would end up back on the favoured side. It soon became very apparent that she had flat head on one side along with slight ear misalignment and slight bulge to one side of forehead.

We bought this when she was 12 weeks old. She is now turning 30 weeks and what a difference. She now has a nice round head and ear misalignment has improved significantly. We only wish we bought this sooner. We were considering going down the helmet route, but this has improved her head so much we no longer feel we have to. I would have rated 5 starts but due to position of the curve on the mattress I feel like my baby outgrew it a bit more quickly than she could have. Well worth the money and would definitely buy again if I have another baby and I would use it from the very start.

My daughter has a slightly flat head and although I’ve not used this product for long enough to see if it’s improving I am impressed with the positioning of her airway. Before the mattress she used to snore slightly and you could really hear her breathing but now she is in the position with the mattress she seems to breath so much more freely and comfortably. I hardly hear her now! She also has acid reflux and it’s nice knowing this helps with that too.

The only niggle I have is in I assumed all moses baskets are universal fit. It’s my own fault for not researching properly, however it’s something to look at before you assume it will fit yours.

In conjunction with a couple of treatments from Philip Owen both the mattress and the activity mat have made a tremendous difference. Our 4 week old now sleeps more soundly, his breathing is clear and posture greatly improved. I really feel that addressing this early in life will pay dividends further down the line. The idea of now using a traditional mattress without any support seems unthinkable and potentially detrimental to his health and development.

This mattress is extremely impressive. Just by looking at your baby sleeping you know it is well supported and is breathing comfortably. It is a perfect size for a Moses basket and the mattress and sheets are very easily maintained. This is the second mattress I have purchased for my second grandchild (a different household!) and I would have no hesitation in purchasing another if my third daughter had a baby. I would recommend that you buy one for the baby coming home from hospital.

I’ve used this since birth on a recommendation. Fit well in Moses basket and is much better than the mattress that came with the basket in terms of quality and comfort. Mattress itself is waterproof so easy to maintain. Sheets fit easily. Baby seems comfortable and well-supported – only been using for a week so cannot comment further.

We brought this mattress as our son wasn’t sleeping very well on the flat mattress we got with the cot. It made a difference straight away. Our son seemed to be more comfortable and was breathing better and he is sleeping a lot better, and so are we!

Hi. I don’t know you personally, but I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the years of work you have done that led to developing the SleepCurve mattress.

My daughter had a very nasty haematoma to the right side of her head and brachial plexus palsy of the right shoulder when born and as a result would only lie on her left, resulting in a flattening of that side. The physio at Alder Hey told us of the mattress, and from the very first use, it took enough pressure off that my little girl could freely lie on either side without discomfort.

She is now just over a year old and you would never know there was ever a problem. As a first-time mum it was a lot to take in and to find out the SleepCurve mattress was there to help was such a relief. So once again, on behalf of my family and I, thank you so much for your years of dedication to your field.

I recently purchased the SleepCurve mattress for my little man and I’m so happy I have got it; he sleeps perfectly on it and looks really comfortable! The curve in the mattress helped him stay in one place while he slept which is what I’m putting his sleeping all through the night down to. But he’s now started crawling so he doesn’t stay in one place anymore! I would highly recommend this to any parent. I’m definitely going to buy the whole set as he gets bigger!! A+++ mattress. Thank you SleepCurve!

I bought the SleepCurve mattress as I had read good reviews about how it had helped babies with “flat head syndrome”. As my baby had quite a flat head, I was desperate to do all I could to help him! I have had the mattress for a few months now and I believe it has helped my baby. He sleeps really well on it and I feel reassured that his head is resting in the dip so there is no pressure on the flat side.

I’m really pleased with the mattress and thought it was a reasonable price too. My baby’s head is now rounding out more. I would definitely recommend the mattress to other parents worried about flat head syndrome. Many thanks!

I bought a SleepCurve mattress for my crib. It’s a great investment! Really, I bought it for peace of mind as I read that the baby couldn’t roll on its back and my major worry was something would happen when I was asleep!

All in all, I would recommend as it certainly took a worry off my mind!

We initially bought the SleepCurve mattress for our daughter’s Moses basket as we were slightly concerned about flat head syndrome. Although we did notice some improvement in this area, we were even more impressed with the excellent night’s sleep she got from it – so much so that when we moved her into a cot the SleepCurve mattress was the only mattress we considered using. It just seems a much more comfortable sleep for her as her chin does not rest on her chest!

I bought a SleepCurve mattress when my son was two weeks old, replacing the standard mattress that came with his Moses basket. When it first arrived, I wasn’t sure about the shape as it was so different from the usual and I was worried that his head seemed to tip back a bit, but we gave it a go. He slept well in the basket and seemed comfortable. After three months his head is a lovely round shape with no flat spots and I feel sure that the mattress helped with this.

I am really impressed with the quality of the product and it is far superior to the standard mattress. I think that it was extremely good value for money. I have recommended the product to friends and I am definitely buying the next stage for his cot – and if we have another child, I would definitely buy this product straight away for the moses basket.

We bought a SleepCurve mattress when my son was 2 months old as he had developed flat head syndrome. It took him a while to adjust to sleeping on it, but after a week or so he slept very well on it. The mattress really helped the shape of his head improve and now he is 6 months old, it is hardly noticeable. I am really pleased that I invested in a SleepCurve mattress and would highly recommend them to anyone concerned about the shape of their baby’s head.

We followed all of the guidance on “back to sleep” for our first and now recently second child. Our second child has been less of a wriggler than the first, so he developed a rather flat head shape after 4-5months (positional plagiocephaly). Having now owned the SleepCurve mattress for a few months, we’re really happy how in that time we’ve started to see an improvement in his sleep and an improvement in his head shape.

When we noticed the flat head and that it was becoming more pronounced, we researched the condition and also visited our GP. We decided to make some changes to his routine and sleep. We bought and use the SleepCurve mattress at night, with a focus on moving his position during the day (mix of tummy time and propped/supported).

Having not been aware of the condition, or indeed experienced it with our first child, we wish that we had the SleepCurve mattress sooner. Whilst it may not have completely mitigated the condition completely, the experience of the last few months makes us believe that it could have helped to manage and prevent such an extreme flattened head (positional plagiocephaly) that our son experienced.

I would like to give some feedback on the SleepCurve mattress. We purchased one as our son lay with his head facing to the right from birth, both when he was awake and asleep and began to develop a prominent flattening of his head, which resulted in the right side of his face protruding forward.

A chance conversation with a friend suggested we try a SleepCurve mattress as they had had the same problem with their baby. We bought the cot size as our son was ready to go into his big cot. He was roughly 3 months old at the time.

If we’d known about SleepCurve mattresses from day one, we would have got one for his Moses basket as soon as we noticed he was favouring facing to the right. Any future babies we have we will use our SleepCurve mattress and will purchase a Moses basket one too to prevent any flat spots occurring on any part of their head.

Our son was very congested when he was new-born and I believe the SleepCurve mattress would have helped with this too had we known about them. I always tell my friends about SleepCurve mattress and recommend them to all expectant mothers I know!

I am very pleased with the SleepCurve Mattress. We purchased this as our baby was starting to get a flat head from lying on the same side. I am pleased to say this has helped and improved the shape of his head! He also sleeps through and seems to be very comfortable at night. Recommended to lots of my friends! Thank you.
